1.1 This specification covers finished sintered and ground (U, Pu)O₂ pellets for use in light water reactors. It applies to (U, Pu)O₂ pellets containing a plutonium mass fraction up to 15 % (that is, mass of Pu divided by the sum of masses U, Pu, and Am yielding 0.15 or less).
